Strauss welcomes Phillip Sheridan to the stage as “The Butler” in Who’s in Bed with the Butler. This is Phillips’s first show at Strauss Theatre. He is a native of Grayson, Louisiana and a graduate of LSU, GEAUX TIGERS!! He minored in theatre in undergrad and went on to study theatre in New York City post graduation. He is playing Clifton, the butler with a thousand faces. Phillip shares that “Clifton had been an incredibly fun role for to play.” More than anything Phillip has enjoyed getting to know his cast mates and having huge laughs on stage while rehearsing the show.

Taylor Nelson is a veteran of the Strauss Stage. She got her start at the Young Stage (now SYAA) and eventually began doing shows at the Mainstage. You might recognize her from her past roles as Tiger Lily in Peter Pan, Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, or Ado Annie in Oklahoma(for which she won a Christopher Award). She attended Northwestern State University, during which time she spent a year studying in Estonia. Since her return to Monroe, she has appeared in Sister Act, Young Frankenstein, Murder Me, Murder Me Not, and as Mollie in last years The Mousetrap (for which she won her second Christopher Award). She currently works as a legal assistant to attorney Ben Marshall. Besides the stage, Taylor enjoys reading, traveling the world, spending time with her three cats (Blue, Bucky, and Mimi), and grabbing a pint with her buds at Enochs.
Taylor plays three roles in “Who’s in Bed with the Butler” – Josephine, Renee & Marjorie.

It’s opening week for “Who’s in Bed with the Butler” at Strauss Theatre Center. Rehearsals are going well. Can you guess the identity of this actor? In his role for “Butler”, he and the floor are well-acquainted.
Moira is no stranger to the theater, she’s just strange. A 30 year veteran of the Strauss, Moira has played everything from a fiery Italian stewardess in Boeing Boeing to Mother Superior in last seasons Sister Act. Most recently Moira brought to life Frau Blucher in Mel Brooks hilarious Young Frankenstein:The Musical. When living in the real world Moira is a dental assistant at Southern Roots Dental. She is also mom to two beautiful rescued hound dogs, Moonpie and Mokey and has an extensive collection of wigs that would make Dolly Parton proud. Moira is thrilled to be a part of yet another Strauss production, and to be working with Terri Cunningham and this cast of talented nutballs.
